Case study

Financial architecture for a large-scale nationwide programme

The context

ActionAid was developing a multi-year nationwide programme focused on social, environmental and territorial development. Although the programme design was already in place, its scale and complexity required an integrated financial structure capable of demonstrating feasibility and providing a consistent basis for fundraising.

Santi’s contribution

Santi translated the programme design into a comprehensive financial architecture, connecting activities, implementation stages, timelines, teams, institutional responsibilities and expenditure categories.

The work incorporated tax, employment, inflation and administrative assumptions, as well as coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation costs. Santi also developed different budget views and a consolidated financial database to support planning, financial monitoring and future accountability.

The outcome

The final budget was validated and fully adopted by ActionAid and the programme’s partner organisation. It provided a consistent and traceable financial framework capable of demonstrating the initiative’s feasibility and supporting its presentation to prospective national and international funders.
